Our Mission

Our mission is to represent the interests of the Indian-American community at federal, state and local levels of government by supporting and opposing legislation independently as well in partnership with issue-based coalitions. We provide support to candidates and lawmakers who share our concerns. Issues that are important to the Indian-American community include:

  • U.S.-India relations for stronger defense, trade and business ties
  • Entrepreneurship and business advocacy for small and medium-sized businesses
  • Immigration legislation that promotes fair and balanced policies
  • Financial and political support of Indian-American candidates for public office
  • Anti-Hate crime measures that ensure protection from hate crimes
  • Equal opportunity and advocacy for appointments of Indian-Americans in the Executive and Judicial branches of Government
  • Civil Rights that ensure equal protection under the law
