Leader of India’s BJP Opposition Party, the Honorable Arun Jaitley, to Make First Official Visit to U.S.
Mr. Jaitley will discuss India-Pakistan Relations, Global War on Terror, and the Future of the U.S and India-relations
WHAT: Press Conference with the Honorable Arun Jaitley, to be hosted by the U.S. India Political Action Committee (USINPAC)
Arun Jaitley is widely recognized as a leading candidate to be the next Prime Minister of India following the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2014 if his party takes control. During his official visit to the U.S, Mr. Jaitley will be meeting with the State Department and Members of Congress to discuss India’s role in the war on terror, as well as the future of US-India relations.
Mr. Jaitley supports India taking strong action to secure the India-Pakistan border and to fight against the influences of terrorism in his country. He is in favor of strengthening the U.S. and India strategic relationship.
