USINPAC hosts leading policy experts from India

 

Community reception focused on US-India cooperation

 

Washington, DCA team of senior Indian policy experts were hosted by USINPAC last week, in Washington DC. The visiting delegation is here to explore investment opportunities in trade, ecommerce and environment conservation in India. The visitors also had an opportunity to interact with other business leaders in the nation’s capital. USINPAC welcomed their visit by hosting a dinner reception for the visitors.

 

The invitees to the reception included representatives from Indian National political parties, news media experts, educationalists and social activists from India;  Anoop Antony Joseph, National Secretary, BJP (Youth), Rashmi Rajput, Assistant editor, The Indian Express,  Girish Kumar, Media Coordinator, Indian National Congress,  Neha Sinha, Advocacy and Policy Advisor, Bombay Natural History Society and Assistant Professor at Delhi University, Sudarshan Ramabhadran, Deputy Director of a premier think tank on foreign affairs, the India Foundation, Akshay Barik, Policy analyst  along with some prominent Indian Americans.

 

At the reception, USINPAC provided an overview of its role in the growth of U.S-India bilateral relations over the years, and how the PAC has helped channel the aspirations of the Indian American community. The visitors were interested to discuss issues regarding investments, inter-country cooperation in trade, ecommerce and other strategic elements of the US India relations. USINPAC shared its experience of working closely with US and Indian lawmakers, in analyzing inter country developments and providing timely inputs and expert policy recommendations.

 

Welcoming the delegation, USINPAC Chairman Mr. Sanjay Puri, remarked, “In the past decade, we have made rapid progress in cooperation between the US and India. Despite some challenges, cooperation in the sphere of defense, economy and security have accelerated. USINPAC will continue to foster advocacy for this partnership going forward.”
