Washington DC: USINPAC commends PM Narendra Modi on another landslide election. “He hit it out of the park,” Sanjay Puri, Chairman of USINPAC, said. PM Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the majority of seats in parliament with over 600 million people voting in a six-week process.
PM Modi thanked India in a tweet, saying, “The faith placed in our alliance is humbling and gives us strength to work even harder to fulfill people’s aspirations.” PM Modi’s development agenda has resonated throughout the nation. “India wins yet again,” Modi tweeted. “And so do democratic-loving nations everywhere,” Puri said.
To celebrate Sri Modi’s first win five years ago, USINPAC had a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to symbolize the relationship between the world’s oldest democracy and the world’s largest democracy. “This time, we call upon the world to take note of the shift taking place under Modi’s leadership. Modi is a transformative, once in a lifetime leader, with clear views about security, the economy, and foreign policy. India is strong. India won’t be sidelined.”
PM Modi will serve another five years. During this time, USINPAC will be advocating in the U.S. Congress for greater attention to be placed on the US-India relationship. “It is time to rethink US-India engagement and to build a stronger alliance between our nations,” Puri said. “We will be working to elevate the relationship to see that it becomes a pinnacle and priority of U.S. foreign policy.”
