Raj Goyle won two terms at the Kansas House of Representatives in 2006 and 2008 and intends to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives from the 4th Congressional District in Kansas. As a Kansas State Representative, he serves on the House Taxation, Judiciary and Vision 2020 committees and serves as the ranking minority member on the Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committee. Raj has worked hard to bring Republicans and Democrats together to forge solutions to the many challenges facing the community. He led the effort to help save jobs, provide critical assistance to thousands of laid-off workers in the community and has worked hard to pass tax cuts for Kansans to help create jobs in the state.In high school, Raj was active in sports, debate and newspaper, and graduated as both valedictorian and student body president. Raj graduated from Duke University and then Harvard Law School where in addition to his legal studies, he founded a technology company with two classmates. After law school, Raj worked for a federal judge, as an advocate for better schools and expanded voting rights for all citizens, as a researcher on homeland security and constitutional issues in Washington, DC.More than 30 years ago Raj’s parents moved to East Wichita where they operate a medical clinic.
