Competition Intensifies With The Third Democratic Debate

USINPAC Members Participate In the Democratic Debate

Washington, DC: The third Democratic Debate at Saint Anselm College threw up three different Democratic viewpoints in the fields of foreign policy and domestic issues. Latha Mangipudi, the former chairperson of the New Hampshire chapter of the US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), attended the event along with Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

Presidential candidate debates in the pre-election period present a great opportunity to understand the various political stances on issues that particularly affect various communities within the US. USINPAC attended this event to ascertain the overall position the Democrats would take on immigration, education, employment and other issues that directly affect the Indian-American diaspora.

Latha Mangipudi, a current member of the New Hampshire legislature and former Chairperson of the New Hampshire chapter of USINPAC, was quite pleased with the debate. “It is empowering to see candidates battle hard to earn their people’s trust in this manner. Each candidate presented their viewpoints with the kind of conviction expected from a President of the USA,” she said.
