Is the World Cup Safe? 6 years 8 months ago #86

After last week’s reports of looming terrorist attacks during the ongoing World Cup, finally the “world cup terrorist” has been apprehended with the assistance of authorities across South Asia. Apparently, according to Interpol chief Ronald Noble, Pakistan has also lent a helping hand in the arrest of the terrorist.
Neither the place from where the terrorist was arrested has been revealed, nor has any information regarding whether the suspect was an individual or hailed from a militant group has been disclosed yet.

Even as a blanket security has been imposed in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for the World Cup cricket tournament; India has issued a general alert. Citing an unspecified extremist threat during the fast-approaching grand finale of the mega cricket event scheduled to be hosted in Mumbai on April 2, Australia has issued a travel advisory recommending a "high degree of caution" during the World Cup.

What rubbish!!! No one would ever believe that Pakistan was involved in the arrest of a terrorist. Earlier, Pakistan was supposed to be one of the World Cup co-hosts but after gunmen opened fire on the Sri Lankan team bus which was on its way to a match in Lahore, the authorities decided otherwise. Serves them right!
