TOPIC: War of Words between U.S. and Pakistan

War of Words between U.S. and Pakistan 6 years 2 months ago #153

After the U.S. Joint Chief of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen warned the Pakistan govt of dire consequences if they dint heed to the U.S. demands of wiping out terrorism and cutting the ties that Pak has so far maintained with terrorist outfits, Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani has lashed out at the American govt saying that if they did not stop publicly criticizing Pakistan they would lose a very important ally. In her interview Ms. Rabbani emphasized that this blame game and making Pakistan a scapegoat every time will not achieve anything. She also said that more than U.S. or India, it was Pakistan who was facing the wrath of terrorists. Will the American govt cow down after this verbal attack by Pak Foreign Minister or does Pak stand a chance of losing its Most Favored Nations Status (MFN)?
