TOPIC: is U.S. decision to pull out its troop in favor of Afghan-Pak-India?

is U.S. decision to pull out its troop in favor of Afghan-Pak-India? 6 years 5 months ago #121

Barack Obama has said that all the American troops would pull out of Afghanistan by the end of 2012. Many people believe that it might just result in repeat of 1988-89 when after the pull-out of Soviet, the Americans withdrew which pushed the country into the hands of Taliban. Should U.S. pull out its troops so early or should they actually oversee a smooth transition of a stable and strong government at the power before withdrawing from the war torn country? What will be the effect of this withdrawal on the neighbouring countries of India and Pakistan?

Following the suit of US, even U.K. has now decided to pull out its troops from Afghanistan. But what these countries fail to comprehend is that Taliban and not Osama is the real enemy of mankind and destroyer of Afghanistan. Even if Osama is now dead, Taliban has not gone defunct yet, and if these countries start pulling out in such rush, there is full likelihood of Taliban usurping powers in Afghanistan. Unless that country has established a strong army and powerful political system, U.S. & U.K. should not end their occupation in Afghanistan

The job that U.S. had taken up in Afghanistan is just half finished. And half finished work will not bear any positive fruits. Today only Osama is dead but the Taliban and other terror groups have not gone yet. They still continue to make attacks on different nations, esp India,Pakistan,Afghanistan. Also Afghanistan is very unstable right now. This is certainly not the best time to leave the country
