Recently a Sikh man wearing traditional Sikh turban was punched in the face by a hate-spewing straphanger in the moving train on Memorial Day in the U.S. and was also labelled as "brother of Osama". The Sikh said it was not first of its kind incident with him as his son also lost his eye in another such incident. Is this an indication of rising hatred against Asian community in the US?

I think it is just a few people bringing bad name to our beloved country. America is the most tolerable country and our culture is an amalgamation of the different immigrant cultures. Its just few rogues who are out of business and taking such extreme steps to bring bad name to our country. It surely is not any indication of any racial discrimination since majority of population does not feel similarly.

One of incidences like these do not paint the overall picture of the entire country. This is one incident wherein an individual of another nationality was mistreated. What about those scores of Indian origin people who are enjoying top notch positions in the government, corporates and business world. Just like every coin, every nation also has two facets. But ultimately its the upto people which side they want to follow more.
