Other related events and benefits for USINPAC members

SBA award nominations: USINPAC will be recommending members for nomination of the Small Business Person of the Year. It is given by Small Business Administration every year to the deserving entrepreneurs. It is of tremendous honor to receive this award from the Small Business Administration since it is the highest recognition by the US SBA in identification of the topmost small businesses in the country. This helps in differentiating the recipient company versus the many others. It helps in providing a level of confidence to the potential clients highlighting the recipient’s ability and past performance. It signifies an honor that is related to the company and the recipient as an individual.

It is an honor not only for the recipient, but for the Indian American community as a whole. USINPAC’s goal is to nominate the deserving Indian American companies for the award categories of Entrepreneurial Success. Recommendations will be given to those members/companies who have shown excellence in their field and for demonstrating leadership. USINPAC will consider several criteria including a significant history as an established business, growth in the number of employees, increase in sales, innovativeness of products or services offered. USINPAC is accepting the bios and will be screening them for the nominations and recommendations.

Federal agencies information session: USINPAC plans to host three information sessions in the Year 2006 to promote the business opportunities for Indian Americans. CIOs/ senior officials of various federal agencies will be the guest speakers in these meetings. The sessions will include the discussions of the roles, responsibilities, and procurement opportunities of the agencies. Extensive Q & A sessions will be included to know more about the upcoming government procurement and contracts. This will be a unique forum to speak to leaders of Federal Government Procurement in a setting that is intimate yet productive. The speakers will lay out the information in an organized way during these sessions which may take usually months to gather. This is in accordance to one of the reasons for the establishment of the Congressional Taskforce on US-India Investment and Trade Relations.

Exclusive meetings with senior officials/CIOs: Upon request, USINPAC will organize exclusive meetings for its members with senior officials of SBA and other federal agencies. Qualified and eligible members will obtain USINPAC assistance in scheduling two private meetings with Congressional or Federal Government Agency offices. In order to maximize these meetings, USINPAC will assist in determining which congressional or Agency offices are best to address the issue and requirements and then assist in scheduling the appropriate meeting(s). The USINPAC staff may advise and facilitate law maker intervention on a member’s behalf in furtherance of federal contract opportunities, federal grants, immigration matters and small business concerns.
