A foremost advocate of immigration reform, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has had a distinguished public service career that includes being Energy Secretary and US Ambassador the US in the Bill Clinton administration and a U.S. Representative. Two of his most difficult assignments were securing the release of American aerospace workers captured by the Iraqis in 1995 for wandering into their territory over the Kuwaiti border, and a mission to North Korea to meet with President Kim Jong-Il.
